Neville Pratt, OAM, ASM
Director - Wescorp Holdings Pty Ltd
Neville commenced work in Kalgoorlie in December 1945 as an Auctioneers Clerk. He was awarded an auctioneers license in 1946. At 18 he transferred to the head office of the Perth Metropolitan markets as the Sales Manager. He continued to progress through to Group Sales Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager and Managing Director at 46. Neville retired from this position at the age 59 and remained a Chairman of the Board until resigning at 61.
Neville was a Director of Standard Crate Exchange for 25 years which included Chairman for 5 years.
Neville is a founding shareholder of Wescorp and Chairman of Wescorp Fruit & Vegetables International Pty Ltd. He served two, one year terms as President of The Chamber of Fruit and Vegetable Industries in Australia.
Neville joined the Wescorp Holdings company in 1992 and he also, from the outset, represented a large group of shareholders from the Leong family of Malaysia. Neville resigned from the Board after the fruit and vegetables division was sold in 2002.
In 2004, Neville rejoined the Group as a Director. “We have worked very hard achieve our objectives and bring the Wescorp Group to a new level of business.”
Neville says his purpose is to represent all shareholders equally and to maintain the highest standards of corporate governance.
Neville has had an amazing career in baseball and is an integral part of Australian baseball history. His highlights include:
